Bygones: A Mother's Love - Discussion & Author's NotesFor any comments on the story.
Author's Notes: Like a lot of my Bygones stories, this is an idea that I've had for a while now, though with this one I was actually waiting for a specific time (Mother's Day) to do it. However, once I started writing it, I realized that, the way I'd planned it, it would seem a little too close to a combination of Masquerade and another story that I haven't yet written, but probably will soon. I couldn't lose the other story, since it actually introduced characters that will show up in the main Bygones story (this story is the only one that doesn't, though Regina might pop up if I find a place for her, I suppose), so I ended up changing the ending. Honestly, I think I like the new ending better, so it worked out well.
There are also, you may have noticed, no diapers in this story. The original idea I had for how to use them was one of the reasons why it was a little too close to the other story for comfort, and other ways just seemed like they'd feel too tacked on to be worthwhile. So I just took them out completely.
